Read below to find answers to some of the common questions we receive.


WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COURSEWARE & LMS?

Foodservice Training Portal courseware, whether custom or ready-to-use, is accessible from any computer with any Internet connection. This includes Apple, Android and mobile devices. We recommend a connection speed of DSL or higher, but this is not a prohibitive factor.

As a general rule, if you can view the course demos accessible through this site, you will be able to view the courses without requiring any additional plug-ins or installations.

WHAT INFORMATION IS TRACKED BY THE LMS?

Foodservice Training Portal uses an Enterprise-Class Learning Management System that provides our clients with a robust, feature-rich record management and data storage experience.

Account Administrators are able to view statistics on a company, store or individual level and see the dates accessed, quiz score and completion status for each employee/student.

WILL BASIC FOOD SAFETY eSTART™ SATISFY MY STATE FOOD SAFETY REQUIREMENT?

Typically state and county health departments only mandate what food safety programs can be used for required Managerial Certification. For most non-management food safety programs, like Basic Food Safety eStart™, you can use whatever program best suits your property's needs- as long as the content adheres to the current FDA Food Code for principles and protocol.

This is not the case in CA, FL, IL or TX. However, Basic Food Safety eStart™ is an approved solution for use in Texas and Illinois to obtain a required FoodHandler Card (TX DSHS #59, IL DPH Program #14-041).

CAN I PURCHASE AN INDIVIDUAL STUDENT SEAT FOR ANY OF THE COURSES?

No- all Foodservice Training Portal courses are offered on a per location, per year basis or sold in blocks of seats based on the specific training program.

I JUST PURCHASED ACCESS TO A COURSE. WHEN CAN I START TRAINING?

You will receive email instructions (sent to the address provided during the purchase process) within one business day.

I NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER. HOW CAN I DO THIS?

A refund of fees will be issued for any reason within 5 days of initial purchase- provided no students have accessed the training. Cancellation/Refund requests must be submitted in writing to Foodservice Training Portal.

MY QUESTION IS NOT ANSWERED HERE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • Access Your Courses
  • Print Your Certificate

Step 1: Go to http://login.foodservicetrainingportal.com

Step 2: Click ‘Create new Account’ button. Complete the sign up form and provide your Activation Code. (This code is case and space sensitive.) Click the ‘Create my new account’ button.

Step 3: Your account will immediately be confirmed and you will be logged in.

Step 4: Click on the "Dashboard" link & select the course you want to participate in by clicking on its title.

Step 5: You can now access the full course(s). From now on you will only need to enter your username and password (in the form on the left of the page) to log in and access any course in which you have enrolled.

Once logged in, click on the Dashboard link on the right side of the Home Page and then click directly on the course title to launch the course in a new browser window. (Pop-ups must be allowed.)

1. After logging in, you will see a "Program" link on the right side. When you click on it, it will expand and you will see a "Certificate List" link. Click on it.

2. You will see text that reads: "You have earned the following Class Completion Certificates:" Under it, there is a red link that indicates the name of the course you completed . Click on it. When you do your Certificate will be generated in a new browser window. (Pop-ups must be allowed.)

3. Print the certificate.
